Job Description

My client are a well known and respected business partner in the Sage channel who are looking to add an Account Manager to their team who is comfortable with doing demo's and has some technical knowledge.

The purpose of the role is to create and maintain deep, mutually profitable relationships with existing the partner's Sage 200 customers. Working independently, or with the input of other organisations/3rd party resources, to offer solutions to customer challenges and opportunities. Account retention, customer satisfaction and revenue generation are the key performance measures to be tracked.

Role & Responsibilities

* Outbound calling to current customers
* Inbound call handling
* Onboarding new customers
* Site visits to customers (when appropriate) or Teams-based meetings
* Contribute to the delivery of agreed Sales Targets
* Attend/contribute to customer events
* Plan, implement and deliver on agreed activity targets for existing account base
* Manage any assigned accounts to deliver maximum resales potential
* Maintain relevant reporting and planning systems (Sage CRM)
* Monitor and report on key performance indicators to agreed timescales (personal dashboard)
* To work with the Marketing resource to formulate, execute and follow-up agreed Campaigns
* Work with the Projects and Development Teams to have oversight on your customers' deliverables
* Liaise with the Accounts team to ensure your assigned customers renew their Support/Subscription contracts
* Work with the Technical Support Team to ensure customer satisfaction
* You may be asked to undertake other tasks which are commensurate to the role and grade
* You may be asked to work with other products from the organisations portfolio

Skills & Qualifications

You will have an interest in IT software and accounting solutions and take a proactive, consultative approach to business. You should be able to quickly develop relationships with customers (typically Senior Decision Makers) and own discussions from requirement spotting through to handover.

* (Ideally) Strong Sage 200 product knowledge
* (Ideally) Strong knowledge of Sage 200 3rd Party extensions (e.g. Sicon, Eureka, Draycir, Codis)
* (Ideally) Manufacturing knowledge/experience
* (Ideally) Ability to demonstrate Sage 200 / Sage 200 extensions themselves
* Ability to understand customers' needs and identify potential solutions
* Strong commercial awareness
* Consultative selling approach
* Confident and a persuasive manner
* Excellent telephone techniques
* Ability to put together compelling proposals
* Able to work collaboratively both with internal colleagues and suppliers
* Tight organisational and time management skills
