ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Evaluation & selection of suppliers

* Negotiation of purchases

* Appraisal, performance of the staff
* Approval of the Purchase Orders as per the limit set
* Address areas of improvement and Initiate corrective and preventive action
* Co-ordinate with (Sarbanes-Oxley) SOX / QMS (Quality Management Systems) auditors
* Review Raw Material and Project requirements
* Review and Identification of the Training needs of the Staff
* Identifying and developing a reliable supplier base for cost effective and timely supplies
* Review purchase (Management Information Systems) MIS Reports
* Maintain smooth flow of materials for production with optimum inventory
* Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies
* Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability
* Develop and implement purchasing and contract management procedures
* Represent companies in negotiating contracts with suppliers
* Price estimates to Sales Department / other department to enable budgeting of project proposals
* Identify need for resources and seek management approval
* Co-ordination of Contract Manufacturing activities
* Co-ordination of Centralized procurement of major raw materials and capex
* Performs other duties/ projects as assigned or as required by the position.
