FINANCE SYSTEM BUSINESS PARTNER

The Role

To provide 1st line Support to both Finance and Non-Finance users of the Group Finance Systems including Sage X3, SEI, X3CloudDocs and DMC. The job holder will also work alongside the Finance and/or IT teams on finance system projects and partner with the IT Team. As this is a finance IT role, sitting within the Finance Team, the role holder may also be required to assist the Group/Subsidiary Teams with finance-related tasks as reasonably required, providing an opportunity to broaden the role's reach in the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide 1st of assistance for all support tickets raised including logging requests, prioritising, and troubleshooting basic support requests as necessary
* Identify and escalate more complex issues to our Sage X3 support partner and/or our internal IT partner and manage through to resolution
* Ensure users are kept updated with support ticket progress within SLA guidelines and escalate complex issues to the Finance Projects Manager/Group FD
* Record accurate, detailed information and track support calls and queries from creation until completion
* Managing the relationship with support partners, completing regular reviews and defining and monitoring service KPIs

Project Management, Business Partnering and Compliance

* To assist the Finance Projects Manager with the change control process including configuration changes, development changes, software patching and any related user acceptance testing
* To assist the Finance Projects Manager with system controls and checks including, but not limited to purchase order workflow, bank account control, user restrictions, user maintenance and period maintenance and control
* To assist the Group Chief Information Officer with the preparation of Group company business cases and subsequent follow-up support and project monitoring, including milestone reporting
* Create and maintain system and process documentation including the implementation of a knowledge base for FAQ and recurring support issues
* Assist with the creation and maintenance of the core library of system (SEI) reports
* Develop and manage relationships with TE's internal IT function, driving improvements and collaboration across Group projects, including asset register maintenance, budget setting, monitoring, and purchase orders.

Experience and Skills Required

* Experience in supporting or using Sage X3, particularly the Sage X3 Finance module, or a similar ERP system
* Finance qualification (ACCA, CIMA) or actively studying
* Genuine interest and skills in IT
* Both a "can do" attitude and a "customer/user" first approach
* Ability to work under pressure, take ownership and use own initiative
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to liaise with users at all levels
* Good planning and time management skills
* Must be proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
