ServiceNow has a new president, John Donahoe. Diginomica got the opportunity to speak with the incoming Mr. Donahoe as well as the outgoing president, Frank Slootman about the change in leadership, direction, and what it holds for the future of ServiceNow. Donahoe seems to focus on the consumer experience, “Software is going to be consumed at the very top level of the stack, meaning that people are only interested in: what does this look like? What does this feel like? What is the experience? The entire stack below that, they’re going to be increasingly disinterested.”

Automation a friend, not foe, of workers: ServiceNow
Intelligent automation frees up time for employees to do more valuable work. Jimmy Fitzgerald, the VP of ServiceNow says that automating processes – like onboarding a new employee – can greatly increase the productivity of workers. Mr. Fitzgerald says that 40% of a work week is spent on manual administrative tasks, and intelligent automation can greatly save time.
Infor and Marketo join forces to take on software giants
In an effort to compete with software giants such as Oracle and Salesforce, Infor and Marketo have joined forces to begin to jointly sell their core products to businesses seeking marketing and sales software. The companies will focus on integrating Infor’s CRM with Marketo’s marketing automation.
Nordstrom and Infor partner to run point-of-sale in the cloud
“It’s crucial that we have the right technology in place today and in the future to improve our customer experience,” explains CIO of Nordstrom, Dan Little. Nordstrom has chosen Infor Rhythm for Commerce for its POS system in the cloud.
