About the Opportunity
We are supporting a leading professional services organisation in Hong Kong that is expanding its SAP consulting capabilities. Multiple positions are available across Manager, Senior Manager and Associate Director levels, depending on experience.
The focus of the search is on experienced SAP professionals with strong S/4HANA transformation, system migration and implementation experience. We are particularly interested in candidates who can bridge the gap between SAP architecture and business requirements and who are comfortable providing practical solution recommendations to clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and provide business direction across SAP S/4HANA transformation, upgrade and implementation projects.
* Assessing existing landscapes and defining appropriate target architecture and migration approaches.
* Lead or support SAP system migration, upgrade and conversion programmes, including technical assessment, planning and execution.
* Analyse existing SAP environments and identify opportunities for system optimisation, standardisation and improvement.
* Work closely with clients to understand requirements and translate these into practical SAP solutions.
* Provide solution recommendations and technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
* Oversee design, system configuration, integration considerations and overall solution quality.
* Work with functional and technical SAP consultants to ensure solutions are aligned with the agreed architecture and project objectives.
* Participate in system migration and data-related activities, including relevant table configuration and technical validation.
* Engage directly with senior client stakeholders and provide clear recommendations on SAP architecture and transformation options.
* For more senior positions, lead project teams, mentor SAP consultants and contribute to practice development, business development and pre-sales activities.
* Support proposal development, solution presentations, workshops and client discussions when required.
Technical Background
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical SAP background, particularly in:
* SAP S/4HANA
* SAP ECC and S/4HANA transformation / upgrade projects
* System migration and conversion
* SAP landscape assessment and optimisation
* Table configuration and related technical activities
* SAP implementation and integration projects
* SAP project delivery, testing, cutover and go-live
Hands-on coding experience is not mandatory. The key requirement is the ability to understand the technical SAP environment in depth, assess requirements and provide sound solution recommendations to clients.
Consulting & Leadership Experience
Alongside technical expertise, candidates should ideally have:
* Experience working in SAP consulting or a professional services environment
* Strong client-facing and stakeholder management capabilities
* Experience leading SAP implementation, upgrade or transformation projects
* Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and business stakeholders
* Strong problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset
* Experience managing or mentoring SAP consultants for Senior Manager / Associate Director level positions
* Business development and pre-sales experience would be advantageous at the more senior levels
