Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced technology leader to oversee the strategic planning, delivery, and optimization of various enterprise systems, self-built platforms within the Hong Kong region. This leadership role will play a pivotal part in guiding digital solutions that support core operational and support functions. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of business acumen, technological depth, and people leadership.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
* Technology Enablement & Portfolio Oversight
* Direct and evolve the application landscape to meet current business demands and future growth plans within the IT team
* Oversee project governance, prioritization, and delivery of high-impact application initiatives across departments
* Continuously evaluate new technologies and identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency
* Strategic Planning & Execution
* Define a clear roadmap for enterprise applications that aligns with corporate vision and regional business priorities
* Support deployment of global platforms at the local level, ensuring adaptability to regional processes and user needs
* Maintain ongoing alignment between application strategies and evolving business models
* Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnership
* Build strong working relationships with department leaders to understand business pain points and offer digital solutions
* Act as a trusted advisor for application-led transformation opportunities
* Conduct periodic engagement surveys and implement improvement plans based on feedback
* Team & Culture Leadership
* Lead and develop a capable IT team, fostering a performance-driven and collaborative culture
* Champion continuous learning, accountability, and agility within the team
* Provide coaching, mentorship, and strategic guidance to ensure team success
* Governance, Compliance & Risk
* Ensure enterprise applications comply with internal standards and external regulations
* Collaborate with global IT and risk teams to assess threats and enforce application security best practices
* Support audit and data privacy initiatives across relevant systems
* Vendor & Cost Management
* Manage third-party relationships and stay informed on vendor roadmaps
* Work with procurement and global teams to optimize commercial agreements
* Own the budget for application platforms, ensuring cost efficiency and resource effectiveness
Your Background:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related field
* 8+ years of IT leadership experience, ideally overseeing business applications architecture in regional or global organizations
* Demonstrated experience managing both internal teams and offshore resources
* Proven success in deploying complex business platforms (ERP, 3rd party systems, workflow automation, RPA, etc.)
* Strong understanding of digital trends, software architecture, and enterprise application integration
* Skilled communicator who can influence, negotiate, and drive stakeholder alignment
* Business proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin required
