Job description

Position Summary

We are looking for a dynamic technology leader to drive the adoption of advanced digital solutions and shape the long and short term innovation strategy on behalf of my client's company - a HK Listed enterprise. The Digital Innovation Senior Manager will be accountable for setting the vision, guiding execution, and ensuring measurable business outcomes from transformative IT initiatives. This role requires a blend of strategic foresight, operational excellence, and leadership capability to accelerate enterprise-wide digital transformation.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Technology Strategy & Roadmap

* Establish a forward-looking digital strategy and define a multi-year roadmap that aligns with business objectives.
* Identify, evaluate, and prioritize emerging technologies with high potential business impact.

Innovation & Solution Delivery

* Drive adoption of modern technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, advanced analytics, and cloud platforms.
* Oversee design, piloting, and deployment of scalable digital initiatives, ensuring business integration and tangible outcomes.

Leadership & People Development

* Build and mentor a high-performing innovation team, providing coaching, career development, and performance oversight.
* Foster a collaborative and innovation-driven culture across technology and business functions.

Program & Vendor Management

* Lead cross-functional programmes spanning multiple regions and teams.
* Manage external vendor relationships, contracts, and partnerships to ensure cost-effective, high-quality technology delivery.
* Monitor programme budgets, resource allocation, and key milestones, ensuring efficiency and governance.

Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement

* Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, presenting strategic updates, investment recommendations, and impact assessments.
* Represent the organization in external technology forums, research partnerships, and industry networks.

Qualifications & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is desirable.
* At least 12-15 years of progressive IT leadership experience, including track record in digital transformation and enterprise-scale technology programmes.
* Professional qualifications in project/programme management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or agile delivery (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe) are advantageous.
* Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver complex initiatives in partnership with external vendors and stakeholders.
* Expertise in advanced technologies: AI/ML, IoT, cloud computing, data platforms, and automation.
* Strong leadership with the ability to inspire teams and influence at senior levels.
* Exceptional planning, execution, and governance skills, with a focus on measurable business outcomes.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; fluency in English is required, additional languages are a plus.

Job description

Role Overview:
A global organization is seeking a dynamic Technical Lead to lead a portfolio of enterprise system upgrades and application enhancement initiatives with a focus on PLM system. This role combines operational oversight with strategic project delivery, supporting the continuous evolution of business-critical platforms. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of technical leadership, business acumen, and experience working across regional and vendor landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:



* Lead high-impact IT initiatives, including platform upgrades, system integrations, and process automation, ensuring timely delivery across cross-functional teams.
* Oversee day-to-day operations of enterprise applications, maintaining reliability, compliance, and alignment with SLAs.
* Manage resources responsible for systems support, enhancements, and troubleshooting, including onshore and offshore teams, vendors, and consultants.
* Establish and maintain IT procedures, service protocols, and user support frameworks to drive operational excellence.
* Act as the escalation point for application performance issues and coordinate timely resolution.
* Drive project governance, risk management, and implementation strategies using structured methodologies.
* Coordinate with product owners and external providers to ensure fit-for-purpose application delivery.
* Assess legacy systems and recommend modernization strategies aligned with business objectives.
* Collaborate with global IT counterparts to ensure unified support and consistent solutions..
* Promote knowledge sharing, thorough documentation, and continuous improvement practices across the IT function.

Candidate Profile:

* 8+ years of progressive IT experience.
* Solid background supporting or implementing enterprise business applications with upgrade and transformation exposure.
* Product Life Cycle (PLM) experience is a MUST.
* Experience in consumer goods, sourcing, manufacturing or supply chain environments preferred.
* Proven track record managing complex IT projects across geographically dispersed teams.
* Practical understanding of SDLC, testing practices, and support models.
* Proficiency with both Agile and traditional delivery frameworks.
* Strong leadership and mentoring skills for both onshore and offshore teams.
* Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
* Familiarity with ERP systems and modern collaboration or workflow tools is advantageous.
