Looking for an IT Security Engineer for a short-term contract at an end user in Melbourne!
* 2 months contract
Main tasks:
* Developed and maintained enterprise security strategies, policies, standards, and awareness programs to strengthen organisational cyber resilience and support regulatory compliance.
* Implemented security controls, system hardening measures, and protective configurations to safeguard critical infrastructure, applications, and sensitive information.
* Conducted vulnerability assessments, security testing, and penetration testing activities to identify risks, recommend remediation actions, and improve overall security posture.
* Investigated security incidents and alerts, coordinated incident response and forensic analysis, and provided security architecture reviews and recommendations to mitigate threats and enhance system security.
Main requirements:
* Direct experience with endpoint protection, intrusion detection, firewalls and content filtering
* Experience in Microsoft Cloud Security Suite
* Experience in cloud security with preference to Azure
* Experience in performing security and risk assessments of internal and third party systems
* Experience in participating in creating secure architecture for greenfield and bespoke application
* Experience in vulnerability management programs utilising SAST & DAST tools
